Omega 311.30.42.30.01.003 Speedmaster Moonwatch Professional 42mm Black Index Stainless Steel Manual BOX PAPERSBrand: OmegaSeries: Speedmaster Moonwatch ProfessionalGender: MaleCase Material: Stainless SteelCase Diameter: 42 mmDial: Analog Black IndexBezel: Stainless SteelMovement: Manual-WindClasp: DeploymentBracelet: Stainless SteelWater Resistant: -Notes: Hey guys this is Ken from JazTime.com and today I have for you the Omega Speedmaster Professional. This is the 40th anniversary limited edition, 40th anniversary limited edition model. And the model number for this is 311.30.42.30.01.003, it's a lengthy model number but we'll have the links to that in the description below. So before we start, I'll let you know we'll be doing a unboxing, I'll be reviewing the case. I'll show you how to adjust the time. I'll also be going over the bracelet and also be letting you know where you can find this watch for the lowest possible price. Okay so when buying this watch, when buying this watch, you'll be receiving the watch in this large box here that comes with the Apollo 15 patch here. As you can see, it's attached by Velcro. Here, take it off. It's pretty cool there. On our portion of the box you'll be receiving warranty cards. You'll have the Limited Series card on the bottom here. That will indicate that it is part of the Limited Series watches and International Warranty. You'll also be receiving another certificate indicating that it is a limited edition watch. It will also have the number of which watch out of the 1,971 that have been made specifically for this one as it indicates the year that the rover landed on the moon. So let's go ahead and let's get onto the watch itself. So the case size of this watch is 42 millimeters in diameter so it's a pretty large watch. Unfortunately, they're actually not, isn't very heavy at all, actually has a nice weight to it, it's very light for being a 42 millimeter in diameter. The dial color is black and as you can see, the three subdials here. And also the outer edge of the dial have the USA's flag colors. Reason for that is the Speedmaster series was the first watch on the moon. And Omega really does take pride of that with this limited edition version of that. The other models of the Speedmaster keep that basic full black dial. There's also the full black along with the bracelet being black and that's called the Dark Side of the Moon, you can go ahead and check that out also on our website, just search Dark Side of the Moon Omega and you'll be able to find that model. Let's talk more about this model. So the subdials each track respectively, they're a different time. The southern dial here tracks the 12 hours. The one on the left here in the blue tracks seconds, 60 seconds. And the one on the right here tracks a 30 minute time period. The movement of this watch is manual winding, so you do have to wind this watch yourself. It isn't automatic, so you have to constantly keep winding it, though the power reserve of this watch is 45 hours. The covering case, or the covering for the dial as you can see there, is hesalite. Is true to the original Speedmaster which was also made with hesalite back then. As now we've transitioned to a sapphire, this one stays true too with the hesalite case, hesalite cover. Okay so let's move on. The crown here located at three o'clock position, only has the ability to adjust the time. You actually don't need to unwind the crown, you can actually just immediately just tug it. And you'll be able to adjust the time bidirectionally. Which is interesting 'cause like Rolex's crowns and such, you have to unwind it and then tug it into different positions in order to get that. With this one, you just need to just tug it out and then just pop it back in. Always make sure to pop it back in. That keeps the water resistance of this watch of up to 50 meters or about 167 feet as long as you keep that crown snug against the case. Okay we also have two chrono pushers, one located at the top and one located at the bottom. The top chrono pusher starts and stops the hack movement, which is the movement of the seconds hand, as you can see here it hasn't moved at all. You just go ahead and press it. Starts to move. Press it again, stops in movement. The bottom chrono pusher down here, this one will reset the hack movement back to the 12 o'clock position, as you can see here. Here you go, very simple. Okay, so let's move onto the really cool part about this watch. Like I said, Omega really does take pride to the fact they were the first watchers on the moon. As you can see, it has the embossment of that lunar rover on the back, Apollo 15, has a 40th anniversary on the bottom there. And all around the case it says The First Watch on the Moon along with the landing date, which is July 30, 1971. It's located right there on the bottom, right here on the bottom. Little hard to see there. Okay also located at the bottom left over here, is a little engraving of the moon. You'll have to look very closely in order to see that, let's see if I can get that in here. Apologize. Hmm. It's just a tiny little engraving there. But yeah, you can see that has a date, so it's very nice and a very cool little thing about the watch. Okay so let's move onto the bracelet. The bracelet is just, it's awesome, look at that. This has a satin finish on the outer links and the inner links, as you can see. Has a satin finish all along the center, notice on the sides. But the cool thing about it, it's a very balanced bracelet. As you can see, there's a mirror polish on the inner links on the outer edges of those inner links, we have this mirror polish. So that keeps a nice shine to it. But the downside of mirror polish is that if you were to scuff up the watch, it's very noticeable. So what they did is they had only mirror polish on the outer edges and they kept the satin finish in the center. So if you were to scuff up the watch, the satin finish will definitely hide those scuff ups, but you still keep that shine of the mirror polish on the outer edges, so that's very, very cool. And then on the clasp right here, we have the Omega Speedmaster Professional engraved onto the clasp itself. It takes two safety buttons here to unlock the clasp, to open it up like that, it's a very simple folding clasp, very easy to use. Rolex tends to engrave their name on the clasp itself, so it's a little boring in this department, but you're not gonna be looking at the clasp all day. So let's go ahead and show you this watch on the wrist. See, very simple, just snaps on. Alright... That is awesome watch and it feels light on the wrist, it's not heavy at all so definitely you can keep this watch on all day without it feeling overbearing after a few hours. The flag's colors contrasting against the black dial is sure to be a head turner and you can always follow up with some conversation saying that this series was the first watch on the moon, you know? And you can give them the information. You can take it off and then show 'em that embossment on the back with the lunar rover. And this is a limited edition watch, so this is very, very unique and is very, very cool. Okay so if you have any questions about this watch, please leave a comment below.
