The special Montblanc Tantalum Sport Red Gold Chronograph is now available for the amazing price of €10.000,- in stead of the original price of €16.500,-!
One of the heaviest materials ever to be used by a watch manufacturer is tantalum! Also, tantalum is fifteen times less abundant in the universe than gold! The beauty of the material is that it's naturally highly corrosion-resistant, which makes it valuable for a lot of thing we use in everyday life - mostly high quality capacitors in electronic equipment such as smartphones. Montblanc has found a way to incorporate the material in the their Sport Tantalum Red Gold Chronograph!
The case in made of tantalum with the bi-directional rotating bezel being red gold. The contrast with these materials makes the design quite nice, whilst the black rubber strap doesn't make it stand out too much.
Furthermore, the watch is made to be legible. The luminescent hour and minute hands, as well as the hour indexes on the dial, provide more then enough illumination in the dark. The Tantalum Sport Chronograph is powered by Montblanc's 4810/501 automatic movement, with a power reserve of 48 hours.
