We offer for sale this very rare and fascinating IWC (International Watch Company, Schaffhausen) solid rose gold wristwatch manufactured in 1938.

The watch is 3 times signed IWC: Case, dial and movement.

The mint case is in solid 14 carat rose gold. More, the never repolished or rebrushed case makes it a truly a collector’s watch.

The very elegant dial with applied rose gold numbers is in original condition and has not been refinished (repainted or redone).

All parts of this scarce timepiece are original and made by IWC. The watch has just been serviced, all functions operates perfectly and comes with a 1 year warranty.

This stunning model was produced only for a very short periond of time, between 1939 and 1941, it’s exceptionnally preserved condition makes it thus a highly desirable watch. Please notice the beautiful movement with « Côtes de Genève » finish.

The genuine handmade aligator bracelet is new.

All unretouched high definition photographs were taken in daylight, without artificial light thus what you see is exactly what you will get.

Case serial number : 102XXXX (which dates the production to the year 1938, final numbers kept confidential for customers privacy).
Movement serial number : 991XXX (which dates the production to the years 1935 – 1940, final numbers kept confidential for customers privacy).

Size guide for wristbands

1 | Lug width

The lug width is the width of the strap at the end that is attached to the watch. This is the interior distance between the two lugs (horn-like protrusions) on the watch casing. The strap will fit your watch only if the lug width of the watch is the same width as the strap.

2 | Buckle width

The buckle width is the width of the strap at the buckle end. If you want to keep your watch’s original buckle and replace only the strap, the width of the original buckle must be identical to the strap width. For watches with folding clasps, please choose a strap specially made for your particular clasp.

3 | Strap length

The strap length is the combined length of the short strap side 3A (without buckle) and the long strap side 3B. For metal straps, the length of the strap including the clasp is measured in the closed position.

4 | Strap thickness

Strap thickness is the height of the strap. Many leather straps thin out towards the buckle end, or “taper”. If you want to keep your watch’s original buckle and replace only the strap, the strap thickness must match the height of the original buckle. For watches with folding clasps, please choose a strap specially made for your particular clasp.
