Description

The history of International Watch Co. or IWC goes back to 1868. Interestingly, it was founded by Florentine Ariosto Jones who was an American. Jones traveled all the way to eastern Switzerland to create IWC and establish its unique legacy and timepieces. This company creates its timepieces with total adherence to its motto – ‘Probus Scafusia’ which means good, solid craftsmanship with Schaffhausen. The brand believes in tying together sublime design and precision engineering and the result is watches which are the epitome of haute horlogerie – some of them have a power reserve that lasts upto 8 days. Another exceptional aspect of IWC is their focus on sustainability and ecological responsibility.
IWC seems to have covered vast territory indeed in its conquest of time. The Aquatimer came into the world in 1967 and this was when scuba diving became a raging trend as well. Best in class water protection made this watch series popular and its legacy continues even now. Clean and easy to read dials are the Aquatimer’s sui generis.
