Pieces of Time of Newington, CT (est. 1992) is a retail watch store specializing in collectible mechanical watches. Please feel free to contact us with any questions you may have or visit us at piecesoftime.com for more information.

Here we have a Hamilton Sherwood “N” in exceptional original, unpolished condition. Everything is as it was in the early 1960’s when this watch was first produced; from the Mexican Mahogany Dial to the signed Hamilton crown.

The Mexican Mahogany dial is OUTSANDING. The nicest we've seen! All of the hour markers and Hamilton logo are applied, 18K Gold. The hands are also original, faceted gold.

The watch is housed in a solid 14K Gold Hamilton signed case with flared lugs and a screw-on caseback. It measures 33.6mm across without the crown, and 40mm from lug tip to lug tip. With a heavy case, wide bezel, and flared lugs, it really wears bigger than its measurements. The watch has been worn, and does show some reasonably minor signs of that wear. There is a light engraving on the caseback, but that can certainly be removed at the time of service if the new owner wishes (please see below).

Under the dial is a Hamilton caliber 667 automatic movement with 17 jewels. We paired the watch with a vintage period alligator strap with a signed Hamilton gf buckle.

The photos below are of the watch in its current, unrestored state.

The price includes full restoration and repair. The work will be performed after purchase. This entails proper service of the movement, a new mainspring, and anything else that would be necessary to bring the watch into proper working order. Case cleaning and refinishing are included. The extent of case refinishing, if any will be left up to the new owner.

Once you’ve made your purchase, please contact us so we may discuss the restoration and case refinishing.

Please allow 1-2 weeks after purchase for service to be completed.
