The most unique feature of the military watches was the size of the watches which were huge in diameter size compared to other wrist watches. Most of the military and navigation timepieces had the seconds’ feature which was considered an important part of the technology.
During WWII, the German army looked for huge dials in the military watches and was as large as 55mm. Later, the antimagnetic protection was also developed to secure the chronometers.
