Movement calibre: Vulcain 120, 12-lignes, anchor movement.
Case: 300000, Diameter: 33,5, High: 12,5 mm
Data: 17 jewles, f=18000 A/h, power reserve 30h, D.B.P. 920958 – 932420.
Features: Mechanical hammer alarm, point for the hammer on membrane inner back case, holes in back case to let out the sound. The alarm hammer strikes on a membrane (like the ‘’Golden Voice’’) over which a perforated back lid is pressed.
Patent: U.S. Pat. 2554402, 2568795, 2644294., Swiss Patent.
Remarks: Worn by 4 American Presidents, why it’s called ‘The Presidents Watch’
Condition: Very fine movement newly main serviced working perfect, 18 K gold case in fine condition, the dial renewed at Richard. Bethge Germany as it had a little too much ‘patina’, a super rare Vintage wristwatch.
Operating Instruction
Wind watch and alarm: the cricket has two independent barrels for watch and alarm. It is recommended to wind both completely each morning as follows:
Make sure that the crown at 3h is completely pushed in.
Watch: turn crown towards 6h.
Alarm: turn cown towards 12h.
Attention: if a resistance appears in one or the other direction, the according barrel is completely wound up. Do not force further. Continue to wind in the other direction.
Set time: pull the crown at 3h completely and turn it towards 6h. Push the crown completely after setting.
Set and enable alarm: press down the pusher at 2h completely. The crown at 3h pops up. Turn the crown towards 12h to set the the alarm hand to the desired time. Push completely down the crown again.
Disable alarm: press the pusher at 2h halfway down. The crown is set freely turnable in both directions. In this position the alarm is disabled.
Attention: never pull the pusher at 2h!
