steel cased 34 mm excl crown, case ref: 22295, 1461481, Beautiful chronograph from the early 40s The case is stainless steel with screw type stainless steel back and round pushers. It's in excellent original condition, never seriously polished . All the lines are nice and crisp with just gentle wear consumate with its age and no significant scratches or marks. The lugs are fixed, with a near new black leather band . The original Universal Geneve cal 281 movement is in excellent condition with bright and fresh finishes (that can be clearly seen in the photographs) and no sign of dirt, damage or corrosion. It runs well and keeps good time. The chrono starts, stops and resets correctly. The acrylic crystal is excellent with no visible marks or damage. The dial is in excellent condition and 100% original. It has no apparent discolouration or fading and is complete with no lifting to the finish or scratches or damage. The dauphine styled hands are in excellent condition The crown is unbranded, and would have been like that originally, but may have been replaced at some stage. The pushers are excellent with just some gentle wear. The band is new and suits the character of the watch very well. A gorgeous watch |
