The Aquaracer collection dates back its origin in 1982 when Tag Heuer introduced the 2000 series.
Launched in 2009, the Caliber 5 Aquaracer 500m proved a big milestone and added new style to the Tag Heuer Aquaracer collection. Following the rich heritage of diving watches, Tag Heuer introduced the Aquaracer 500m Chronograph in the collection of Basel 2010 watches. It is the Chronograph version of the immensely popular Aquaracer 500m collection.
Tracing the history back in 1982, the Aquaracer collection marked the presence in the watchmaking world with the unveiling of the 2000 series. Following the success of the Aquaracer 500m series, the collection saw the dawn of the Chronograph version of the 500m series at Basel 2010.
With a cyclope placed at 9’o clock magnifying the date window, the versatility of the timepiece is accomplished with unique rubber bezels embellished with applied markers and HEV (Helium Escapement Valve) to resist the external pressures. Creating a style statement of its kind, the Aquaracer 500 m series set new parameters of watchmaking art.
Styled in the fashion of the original Aquaracer 500m, the chronograph version was complemented with additional chronograph dials and also housed a technically advanced Valjoux 7750 movement. With a 44 mm case size, the Aquaracer 500 m Chronograph claims to be the largest wrist watch in the Tag Heuer heritage.
Designed on the line of highly advanced diver’s timepiece, the Aquaracer 500m Chronograph comes with a water resistance capacity of 100 meters. The exquisite crafting of the bezel made of rubber goes well with the silver markers placed on the bezel. Housed with a chronograph movement of Valjoux/ETA 7750 movement, the wristlet fashions a brand logo placed on the dial’s surface.
With a date window placed at 9’o clock, the dial of the Aquaracer 500m Chronograph also accommodates the Tag Heuer logo along with the name Aquaracer positioned at the corner of the wristlet.
