Relaunched at BaselWorld 2011, the Rolex Explorer II has been added to the Explorer family tree. With an ideal design of a sports watch, the size of the timepiece has been designed with a 42mm diameter. The embellishment of the timepiece with an orange GMT hand to the hour indicator has added stars to its charm.
The dial of the Rolex Explorer II has been modified with a black version with the hands adored with white gold. With a water resistant capacity up to 100 ft in water, the timepiece is laced with a “Chromolight” lubricant. The case is covered in steel and the timepiece looks stunning with a sapphire crystal glass.
Featuring the three hands in the dial: hour, minute and the GMT hand, the Rolex Explorer II is also housed with a 48 hour power reserve. The wristlet is all set to grace the hands with a steel bracelet incorporated with an Oysterlock clasp.
Carrying the rich heritage of the Explorer tradition, the unveiling of the latest Explorer II unleashes a high end sports timepiece in the Rolex lineage. The watch has been laced with technological advancements making it a perfect timepiece in a sports selection.
Introducing the latest model at Baselworld 2011, the latest edition incorporated in the Explorer II fashion line is sure to capture the gaze of the onlookers while being an ultimate style statement. The wristlet has been adorned with stainless steel bezel with a sparkling look enhanced with the white or the black dials. The dial has been featured with a GMT function making it reach high end technical dimensions.
Unlike the GMT Master II designed with the Pepsi patterns of red and blue color bezels, the Explorer II explicitly resorts to a very simplistic fashion with stainless steel in an elegant manner. A classic contrast is created with the black and white hands positioned on the dial surface with a tinge of orange color on the 24 hour hand.
Making the watchmaking art touch new zeniths, the high end engineering of the Explorer II is evident in the bracelet developed especially for the timepiece. The watch has been housed with Paraflex shock absorbers making it resist the external pressures. Housing a calibre 3187 movement, the styling of the watch is elevated with a stunning dial.
Commemorating the 40th anniversary of the first Explorer edition, the latest Explorer II model is added to the lineage marking a striking impact in the watchmaking world.
