The Patek Philippe Nautilus reference 5712 is the hottest Patek sports watch ever. As fate would have it, the watch was discontinued practically as soon as it was introduced. It is said that less than 100 pieces of the Patek Philippe 5712GR was ever produced, making this one of the RAREST watches released from the Nautilus collection. Whether you are buying a Patek because of its incredible resale value or because you just love the way it looks, the truth of the matter is with a watch like this you never have to worry about them being overproduced. This is as many might call an "Investment Piece" - you can enjoy and wear it and not worry about loosing money when you want to sell it or trade it in. Like Patek's slogan “You never actually own a Patek Philippe. You merely look after it for the next generation.” This is definitely one for the collection....
Patek took their already popular Nautilus model, and added a moonphase display with date, subsidiary seconds and power reserve indicator, as well as creating a very attractive anthracite/charcoal dial color. This a very handsome watch.
Patek Philippe automatic caliber 240 PS with 29 jewels, micro-rotor construction, and stamped with the ultra prestigious brand new Patek Philippe Seal. There is a display back fitted to the case so you can see this beautiful caliber.
The new Nautilus Ref. 5712gr in a combination of rose gold & white gold is a sports watch combining an exceptional number of complications with an eye-catching layout that adds a touch of exclusivity. Apart from displaying the hours and minutes, it has a subsidiary seconds dial at 4 o’clock, a power-reserve indicator between 10 and 11 o'clock, and an analog date at 7 o’clock with an integrated moon-phase display. It has a three-part case with a sapphire-crystal case back, a screw-down crown, and a moon-phase corrector push piece in the side of the case. The corrector limits the water resistance of the watch to 60 meters. The movement is the self-winding Patek Philippe caliber 240 PS IRM C LU movement which despite its sophistication is merely 3.98 mm high, thanks to the 22K gold minirotor recessed in the main plate. The new Nautilus Ref. 5712gr has a white & rose gold case with an integrated brown crocodile strap with a double fold over deployant buckle.
This is an outstanding watch, whose looks live up to its pedigree.
