Panerai Vintage Watch 6152-1 Rolex 15 Jewel CC engraved: $150,000 US Luminor Panerai black dial with patented locking crown # 7. Rare Rolex 15 jewel movement. Only a few have been recorded to have 15 jewel Rolex Pocket watch movements. Cote de Genever on movement is visible and aligned correctly. Most had Rolex 17 jewel movements and some had 8 day Angelus movements. Comes on original strap with sewn in buckle. Brevatatto correctly engraved between the lugs on one side of case, while correct serial numbers are engraved between the lugs on other side of case. Another rare feature of the unique timepiece is that the case back is engraved on the outside with the CC No 15. This was the issue number as it was presented to one of the few select Italian militare police (Carabinieri) invited to train with the Flotiglia Mas (Elite Navy Seal Divers & Missionaries). This same case back is correctly engaved Rolex 6152-1 on the inside of the case as it should be. Excellent condition! The Sandwich dial and luminova filled numbers are clear and non pealing or cracking. The gold luminova painted hands are also in great condition. The black sandwich dial has a 3 dimention appearance and the gold hands are as handsome today as they were 60 years ago. The watch has its original vintage calf strap with sewn in buckle. Of course this watch was a tool watch and made for its functionality only. But for those of us that love history, beauty is in the eye of the beholder... nothing looks better! If you are a Panerai collector, you know that these are becoming increasingly rare!
