Panerai PAM 02 B Luminor Base Model Pre A T-Swiss-T Fat Number Dial, 44 mm. I am proud to offer this very rare Panerai watch! This luminor base model has a stainless steel case which is 44 mm in size and has the patented locking crown. As you can see from the pictures, there is something special about this watch. The PAM002 is a base model which is simplistic in design. Most Panerai collectors are drawn to the simple design and believe less... is more. This particular B series timepiece is a transitional watch which was created in the year 2000, but was given a rare dial that was made prior to the sale of the Panerai watch company to Richemont (who also owns Cartier). The older dial was painted with tritium and the numbers were also "fatter" than the numbers on later model Panerai watches. Therefore, the "chubby" numbers have a beautiful creamy patina giving the watch a most desirable vintage look. Below the 6 hour marker, the dial has been marked with the T-Swiss-T logo. The small dashes between the T & Swiss signifies the early production and rarity of this dial. Whether you collect Panerai, Rolex or any other luxury brand, the dial is most important to the design and value of the watch. This watch has a Pre Vendom dial! This is a great way to get into a Panerai Pre Vendom looking watch at about a third of the price of a Pre Vendom Panerai watch. I have put a vintage style Italian made Dirk olive colored shark strap on this watch and if looks could kill, you would not be able to wear this watch! I have put a second Dirk tan calf which will give the watch a traditional Pre Vendom appearence. No Panerai looks cooler! The watch comes with its OEM Panerai Pearwood box and papers.
