In 1959 the Omega Speedmaster Professional became ‘Flight Certified’ by NASA. The whole crew of the Apollo 11 astronauts each wore a speedmaster. One of them was the recently passed Neil Armstrong. Although many think he was the first to set a foot on the moon with the Speedmaster, it was actually Buzz Aldrin. Neil Armstrong left his one as a backup aboard, as a result, the first watch worn on the Moon was on Aldrin’s wrist.
Ever since the Speedmaster Professional is one of the most well-known watches of Omega. Omega sticks with its winning formula as the modern ones look just like the vintage ones. However the vintage ones are much more attractive, For example this piece with stunning brown tropical dial and red/brownish bezel with the dot under 70. This collectors item is in great condition and accompanied by the extract of the archive, stating this 145.022 was sold in 1970 in Saudi-Arabia,
