Housing the co axial escapement, Omega introduced the Calibre2500 movement in the year 1999. The latest addition in the Omega family tree is the Calibre8500 movement which was designed especially to incorporate co axial escapement. Omega Aqua Terra collection was launched in 2009 two years after the release of Hour Vision timepieces series.
With a self winding chronograph movement, the Omega Aqua Terra watches features the hour, minute and a second feature with a date function. Unlike the previous Omega collections, the latest collection of Aqua Terra series houses the Calibre8500 movement.
Designed with a 41.5mm diameter, the case is given a perfect finishing touch in the Omega Aqua Terra. The shiny bezel ring attached to the crystal gives the watch a classy and an elegant touch. The back case is embellished with a crystal glass which over views the Calibre8500 movement.
Developing the Hour Vision line of watches, Omega introduced the calibre 8500 movement in 2007. It was the first in house movement under the Omega flagship incorporated with a co axial escapement. Omega unveiled the Aqua Terra fashion line in 2009 which was the first timepiece housed with the co axial escapement with the calibre 8500 movement.
Styled with a slim and sleek pattern, this high end mechanized timepiece marks an elegant presence on the wrists. The finely polished steel hands and markers in the dial create a striking impact on the onlookers. Available in the bracelet version, the Aqua Terra can also be replaced with a leather strap depending on the individual needs and conditions.
Since its launch in 2009, the Aqua Terra timepieces have attracted the gaze of the watch enthusiasts across the globe making it a widely popular timepiece. Available in two dial faces: silver and black, the dials have been designed with an exotic classic appeal creating a style statement.
The contrasting effect is created with the silver markers embellishing the black dial producing a gleaming effect in the timepiece. The polished markers and the shiny hands improve the legibility of the dial. Shielded with a sapphire crystal glass, an anti reflective treatment has been given to the glass surface.
Following the patterns of the other Seamaster’s line, the case reminds the designs of the other timepieces in the Seamaster’s lineage. Housed in a huge 41mm case size, the watch comes with a water resistance capacity up to 150 meters in deep waters. With a self winding chronograph movement, the Aqua Terra also features hour, minutes and central seconds followed with a date function.
