With its seamless performance and high end functions, the Omega Seamaster series is one of the most successful launches of Omega till date. The timepieces gained immense popularity with marking its presence in the Bond movies. With a vivid array of choices available in the Seamaster’s models, it is a perfect adornment for the wearer’s wrist.
Quite likely to its name, the Omega Seamaster is a perfect companion for diving and underwater activities. It has an amazing water capacity of around 300m under deep shallow waters making it a diver’s first choice. The Seamaster owns the prestige of embellishing the wrists of many celebrities like Michael Phelps and so on.
The Omega Seamaster can be worn not only for underwater activities but it can be an accompaniment on the lands as well. The Seamaster collection is available in many models including Seamaster Planet Ocean, Aqua Terra and the Railmaster.
Often referred as the Bond Seamaster, the Bond fashion line dates back to 1993 but it became popular in 1995 with Pierce Brosnan embracing the timepiece in his debut in “GoldenEye”. In the past few years Omega has become a popular watch brand and is one of the top 5 Swiss watchmakers in the world. The success of the Bond timeline led to the innovations of several other models in the market like the Aqua Terra and highly advanced technological movements like co axial escapement.
Predominantly considered a diving timepiece, the Bond Seamaster features the functionalities imbibed in the divers’ watches. With a subtle blue dial, the falling light plays with the dial creating striking effects its color. The dial may sometimes appear black or any other shade depending on the light striking the surface.
With the skeletonised hands fashioning the dial, it adds a tinge of style statement to the Bond Seamaster appeal. The Superluminova coating applied to the minute and the hour markers enables good visibility even in the night time. With an anti reflective coating, the dome shaped sapphire crystal glass covers the dial face giving it a gleaming look.
Keeping in line with the diving watches, the Bond Seamaster comes with the HEV (Helium Escapement Valve) enabling to resist the pressures in the deep waters. With a water resistance capacity up to 300 meters, the wristlet can be a perfect accompaniment for the underwater activities. The bracelet of the watch is very comfortable with a Seamaster clasp which comes with a hidden dive suit extension feature. Before 2002, the bracelet linked every Seamaster model but now exclusively fashions only Bond Seamaster and Bond Seamaster Chronograph.
