Extremely Rare & Super Exclusive 44mm
From the IWC Vintage Collection, celebrating 140 years of IWC. Limited Edition of only 500 pieces! "Vintage" Aquatimer Automatic: This watch features: * Platinum case with brushed finished edges, polished finished lugs & bezel. * Polished steel edges hands with luminescent center. * Date window located at the 3 o'clock position. * Uni-Directional Turning Bezel located beneath the crystal, the bezel is operated by the additional crown located at the 4 o'clock position. * In-house movement caliber 80111, beats at 28,800 vph, contains 28 Jewels & an approx. Power Reserve of 44 hours. The clear-cut dial design of the Aquatimer Automatic mirrors that of the first Aquatimer series except that the 44-millimeter case makes it even more legible. The Aquatimer Automatic is, of course, ideally suited to the needs of ambitious divers. The watch features a screw-in main crown together with a crown for setting the internal rotating bezel. To facilitate use, this second crown does not screw in. Like the 1967 model, which featured the 8541-caliber automatic movement – then the most rugged available – the Aquatimer Automatic of today has the same movement as the Ingenieur watch family, the IWC-manufactured 80111 caliber. Unlike its historic forebear, however, it has a see-through sapphire-glass back that in no way detracts from its water-resistance to 12 bar (120 meters - 400 feet).
