IWC Ingenieur Vintage Jubilee Automatic
The basic concept behind the launch of the first IWC Ingenieur in 1955 was the core technological expertise. If the designer line for the Aquatimer and Pilot collections was oceans and skies respectively, the theme idea behind Ingenieur was earth. Equipped with IWC automatic movement, it was stored in a soft iron inner case securing it from the magnetic fields.
IWC created a revolutionary technological advancement with the creation of the first bidirectional automatic movement. The winding system featured rollers as well as rock bar incorporated in the automatic 85-calibre family tree. With a more bold and robust finish, the IWC created a more advanced 851 and the 8541 calibre movement in 1960s and 1970s in the IWC Ingenieur and the Yacht Club respectively.
Marking a solid comeback in 2005, the IWC Ingenieur developed a highly advanced timepiece with a perfect glimpse of mechanical engineering epitomized in a timepiece shape. With a 45.5mm case, the Big Ingenieur created a revolutionary impact in 2007 housing a huge 51113 calibre, Pellaton Winding along with a seven day power reserve.
Reliving the rich tradition of the IWC watches, the IWC Ingenieur continues the legacy with the rich craftsmanship and perfect working of the Ingenieur timepieces. The IWC watches have been highly aspired by the watch enthusiasts and the exotic making of the timepieces lure the onlookers in its charm.
One such timepiece incorporating the IWC collection is the Ingenieur Automatic lately added in the IWC family tree. The present Automatic model seems to be inspired from the Jumbo SL model launched in 1976 which was the brain child of the genius, Gerald Genta.
The Present Automatic model features the popular chronograph movement, a 80110 calibre claimed as the IWC in house movement. The detailed and the precise making of the timepiece is intensified with the stylish dial face positioned on the watch.
With a beautiful finishing rendered to the IWC Ingenieur Automatic, the fine polished bracelet accomplishes the admirable style of the watch. The circular shaped dial well complements the bracelet attached to the wristlet. The sharp edges of the watch are well polished with the detailed brushings giving a gleaming effect to the timepiece. The well engraved surface of the caseback is provided with the AR coating with a sapphire crystal glass covering the case. Beside the huge dial size of 42mm, the wristlet suits all the wrists in an astonishing manner.
