Here we have a classic 1950's Girard Perregaux SeaHawk with a very cool (and seldom seen) case with a Solid 14K Gold frame over a Stainless Steel tub. This "Tub" style two-piece case was an early attempt at waterproofing. The movement sits in a stainless steel tub with the crystal, and the outer solid gold case frame fits over it, creating a seal. The case back is signed stainless steel, and the case frame is marked 14K in between the lugs.

The dial and hands are all original. Both are showing some signs of their 60+ years, and have aged to a nice patina. The case measures 30.6mm without the crown and 36.63 mm lug to lug, with a great looking high polish/grained finish. The Swiss made movement is fully signed and features 17 jewels.

The watch has been recently serviced and is running well and keeping very good time. During service, we completely disassembled the case and lightly refinished it to match its original look. Overall, the watch is in VERY good vintage condition.
