This Chopard, model 17/1868-20, is a gently pre-owned watch that can be worn by a man or woman as a statement piece. It is in very good condition as evidence by the close-up pictures of the actual watch. The strap does show signs of use. However, all of the functions work perfectly and there are no major signs of wear on the case or crystal. The watch is guaranteed 100% Authentic. It is part of a limited edition collection inspired by and dedicated to the Elton John AIDS Foundation; only 1200 were made. The retail price for this rare watch is approximately $78,000.
It features a case, crown, two buttons, and lugs made from a solid and durable 18K white gold. The screwed down back plate helps to protect a precise quartz movement. The case measures 38mm in diameter without the crown or lugs (42mm with the crown x 46mm with the lugs) x 11mm in thickness. The case sides and lugs are encrusted with fantastic white (clear) diamonds while the bezel is encrusted with breathtaking black diamonds. Meanwhile, the original black leather strap is attached to an 18K gold adjustable deployment clasp. It can fit a wrist up to 8 inches. It is also encrusted with black and white (clear) diamonds.
The dial uniquely presents the analog and chronograph functions. A silver toned display is curved from the bezel onto the dial and features various markers. Meanwhile the standard hour markers are numeric and on top of a mirror background. Silver toned hour, minute, and second hands point to the various markers. Three sub-dials are designed to be part of a chronograph and are located at 3, 6, and 9 o'clock. They feature a 12 hour counter, subsidiary seconds, and 30 minute counter respectively. Each one is encrusted with various white (clear) diamonds, various markers, and a hand. A date window is also featured on the dial and is located between 4 & 5 o'clock. Original black diamonds are located in the center of the display, which dramatically compliment the rest of the diamonds.
All of the diamonds on this watch are 100% Authentic and factory set by Chopard.
