RCAF service time piece was worn by a proud Aircrew person, this is a very interesting project that Breitling participated on, and the RCAF was the recipient of so many of these fabulous time pieces for use in Military ops and training exercises, the dials and hands on all of these were generic and bore very simple tritium content on the dials. Due to the constant dangers whilst facing the live radium content on the dials, most of these fabulous Breitling single pusher time pieces had to be incinerated.
The single pusher chronograph watch represented a fascinating time in the history of the Canadian Armed Forces, especially this excellent Breitling single pusher chronograph watch - it was worn by a member of aircrew for his lifetime of service. [Provenance can be established with a purchase document showing the man's name] The chronograph wrist watch is available fully serviced, and has had a new crown.
The VALJOUX Chronograph as a military single pusher chronograph has it's roots from the old calibre 23.
The movement has several attributes, including the shock absorber system, and it has 3,000 Milspecs calibrated mechanism, this means that it can start-stop-reset 3,000 times, these are military specs for continual use before it is to be serviced once again.
Weather beaten but perfect Breitling RCAF Canada generic dial has been found for this time piece.
The case # 1,123,040 dates from 1967 exactly and the case back outer portions are too worn to disclose any RCAF military details, a large "S" is visible, this probably denotes Surplus, the other details are wiped out clean through wear and tear.

We do not ship to ASIA-AFRICA-S.AMERICA. Please take the time to have a look at our GTC page for more information on how to purchase this time piece.

Size guide for wristbands

1 | Lug width

The lug width is the width of the strap at the end that is attached to the watch. This is the interior distance between the two lugs (horn-like protrusions) on the watch casing. The strap will fit your watch only if the lug width of the watch is the same width as the strap.

2 | Buckle width

The buckle width is the width of the strap at the buckle end. If you want to keep your watch’s original buckle and replace only the strap, the width of the original buckle must be identical to the strap width. For watches with folding clasps, please choose a strap specially made for your particular clasp.

3 | Strap length

The strap length is the combined length of the short strap side 3A (without buckle) and the long strap side 3B. For metal straps, the length of the strap including the clasp is measured in the closed position.

4 | Strap thickness

Strap thickness is the height of the strap. Many leather straps thin out towards the buckle end, or “taper”. If you want to keep your watch’s original buckle and replace only the strap, the strap thickness must match the height of the original buckle. For watches with folding clasps, please choose a strap specially made for your particular clasp.
