Description

You don’t need to be a Lange fan to realize that the Lange 1 exudes quality and craftsmanship. Usually, the first thing a Lange aficionado does when he holds one of the famous timepieces in his hands is to flip it over and admire the movement! Well, as I can’t resist a pretty face, I started with the dial. The problem of the A. Lange & Söhne Lange 1 "Doppelfederhaus" Royal Blue dial is that it’s not pretty… it’s STUNNING! Stunning in the details that went into it, which only appear progressively. This magnificent watch features a rare Royal Blue Dial. Functions include Power Reserve indicator and patented Double-Digit Date. A. Lange & Sohne makes such a nice watch. Every detail of a Lange & Sohne watch is perfect. The movements are true works of art and, of course, of the highest mechanical and horologic quality. The cases have perfect, clean lines free of any superfluous embellishments. The dials have a signature look – featuring the over-sized date display and power reserve indicator, and with perfect visual balance. I am a big Lange fan and owning one of their watches will make anyone a Lange devotee. Case is solid 18kt white gold with dimensions of 38.5mmdiameter by 10.2mm thick. Sapphire front and display back crystals. Button at 10 o’clock advances the date. The dial is Royal Blue with applied white gold hour markers, sunken subsidiary seconds dial with white gold hand and Lange’s fantastic two window outsized date display framed in white gold. The movement requires you to stare at it for at least 15minutes every morning before you strap it on. The movement is hand decorated, which means that each and every Lange movement is really an individual work of art. Specifications: Offset Main Dial. Small Seconds hand sub-dial locatedat the bottom right corner. Patented large double window date display located at the top right, with a quick date-correction button located on the case edge at the 10 o'clock position. Power Reserve (Up/Down) Indicator located at the 3 o'clock position.
